My father and i recently purchased a 68 c-10, the motor in it is definatley not stock but we are trying to figure out if it has a corvette engine in it. it seems to be a small block 327 and we looked at the stamping on the front passenger side of the block and came up with vm116971. Also the heads have the serial number of 201655rm5. What do these numbers mean exactly? Thanks.

Thanks!! But does anybody have any information that will help me identify the engine exactly? those markings don't resemble those of which i have researched.
