Just wondering if stock 305 ex. manifolds would fit on a 350 with vortec heads.Any and all advice welcome, and thanks in advance. Bob.
I going to say yes because both manifold look the same but you should look at the exhaust port shape to make sure they are the same.
Thanks Scott. I thought they should, but I don't have the 350 yet. I will check when I get it. If it looks like the flow will be impeded in any way, I'll probably go with some headers. Thanks again, Bob.
one thing...there are 6 bolt exhaust patterns on SBC motors..there are 7 bolt exhaust patterns on SBC motors.there are also 8 bolt patterns on SBC motors..-o0o--o00o--o0o six boltoo0o--o00o--o0o seven bolt patternoo0o--o00o--o0oo eight bolt pattern.one has to look at the gasket face of the exhaust manifolds..the passenger side usually is where the 7 bolt pattern is found..on the gasket face.. of a 7 bolt exhaust manifold.. you will see this pattern.o0o--o00o--o0 o notice the gap. that would show up near the back of the head on the passenger side.. if you end up with 6 bolt heads... and have a 7 bolt exhaust manifold.. enginequest sells a 1/4" thick adaptor plate with one counter sunk location next to the gap. so you can use a 7 bolt manifold on a 6 bolt head.. #AH034
That is valuable information!Much appreciated,thanks Wayne.Bob.
