ive checked on mortec before and nice thread on chevy casting number. But tell me about same thing i already know.

68 - 69 327 210-300 2-Bolt mains
Corvette/Camaro/Hi PO
3914678 68 - 79 350, 327 &: 302 210-350 2-Bolt mains

But i cant check nothing with this number:
Partial vin : 781136255
Vin: V0I30B4

because first digit of partial vin suppose to be between 1-4 but i start with 7
and sbc suffix is B4 but no 302-327-350 got this suffix...

yea, you've got some real confussing info there.  are you 100% positive thats the correct partial vin & suffix?

sometimes the only other thing you can do if pull a head and measure the bore and stroke. Frown

that would be illegal. any thing is possible, some people say. acid probably works better than a buffer.

It's quite possible that this is a warranty engine and these do not follow the norm.

Could well be, because a short block replaced on warranty could have a variety of suffix #'s and the search might be an exercise in futility.
I would go by the casting #'s at the rear D/S of the block and call it a day.

To determine the size, simply but a device like a wooden dowel or coat hanger in the plug hole to measure the stroke.

Actually Chevy did not put warranty numbers on replacement engines. If it was a replacement short block, the dealer that installed it might have done it vut that would be highly unusual.

As you face the block, look for several faint vertical lines. These would be factory broach marks. These are removed for restamps which often have faint swirl/circular marks instead.  Shocked
