Hi I just bought a 92 Chevy pickup with a 350 v8 with a 4 speed tranny. I'm looking at putting in a new camshaft kit. What would y'all recommend for me to get a nice sounding engine and only put 50-60 hp more?

How many miles on the engine? If it's got a lot of miles on it, working on the top is wasted money.

i agree.
but if your still gonna throw a cam in there, more info is needed.   is it stock?  T.B.I.?   you might want to run a cam for a computer controlled vehicle.   too big and youll at least need a new chip.
some headers and a free flowing exhaust will help free up some ponies if your state laws allow.

Go on the comp cams website, put in all of the info they ask for and they will come up with several recommended cams for your application.
