Did General Motors ever produce a factory built 1967 Chevelle SS with a 427 big block?  Cool

I don't think so as I only remember the 396 that year but my memory is not the greatest. I think the first 427 was in 1968 or 69.
Then the 454 came out in 71 or 72. Only to be killed by our wonderful govt.

go to the www.yenko.net web site. doug marion of super chevy wrote about them in the 80s. im POSITIVE that i read about copo 1967 427 chevelles in at least one magazine in the late 60s or early 70s when i was young! i can assure you people refer to me as freakish because of my memory ability. i can also remember people referring to THEIR 1970 LS6 monte carlos and el caminos! not asking if chevy made them but asking about the cars they claimed to own! that was in the mid 70S !!! and my first RECOLLECTION of the term c.o.p.o. is NOT a 1969 camaro, but a 1967 427 chevelle, iron headed 425 h.p. just like the big b body cars!
