CAN U SHOOT Epoxy primer on an area that has metal and primer showing, or do you have to sand it all down to bare metal. Stan

Without seeing the technical data sheets on the products in question, I can't answer that accurately. But generally speaking, yes you can. You'll want at least a 180 grit sandscratch on the exposed metal, 80 is better. But you'll want to feather out the primer edges with more like 240 or 320. 180 over both might be OK.
