im lookin at 2 sets of heads, one set is off a 68-70 lt1 heads # 10128374 and camel humps # 3947041 and also a 4 barrel intake to go along with it, he wants 250 for the lt1s and 300 for the camel humps, worth it money wise and power wise? on my 92 350 tbi is just the stock heads now i think

The 041 heads are not double hump heads , But are a decent factory head.
The 10128374 heads are gen 2 lt-1 heads and will not work on a gen 1 block. They are also 1992 &up not 68-70.

there are NOW 3 different LT1 motors with different parts... early 70s gen 1. 92 to 96 or so.. gen 2 LT1 with the shaft driven water pump and reverse flow cooling system... and then the NEWEST baddest LT1... its a 2013 motor... nothing is really interchangeable except perhaps the engine oil...

$300 for heads that need to be rebuilt is a lot. No they are not worth 300 if they need a rebuild.

+1 Pontiacman. If the guy who is selling them will have them checked for cracks. (They were prone to cracking between the seats). Then offer him $200.00 for the heads. They have the accessory holes, and thats a plus. Then go to $250.00.....

83.
I just did a little looking around. Jegs has a Vortec Top End EZ Kit.
They are iron heads, and have 1.94"/1.50" all new parts and assembled. New intake Manifold, head bolts Bla, Bla, Bla. $890.00 complete....
Lets say you purchase those heads for $250.00 Purchase Price $160.00 New Valves $100.00 Valve Springs $ 16.00 Seals $ 16.00 Locks $200.00 Valve Guildes $200.00 Valve Seats $200.00 Labor that depends on what has to be done. Yeah maybe on the High Side But it could cost you every bit of a $1000.00. I don't know what your budget is? Thats your business. But that isn't even machining them flat.... Look at the Jegs set=up even for Ha-Ha's........Have a Good one. Thanks Bob
