Yeah I did. Just said i was thinking bout putting Hot Rod Fenders on my old Mopar. That got em steaming at me. One thing led to another and before i knew it i was encircled by a pack of em. It really went South when i pulled a sbc on em, said it was going in the old Plymouth. After that i ran. Them Boys is Serious.. Gotta Love It....Stan

Well, You know Bob, Coulda been. Hope not. You know as well as i when we were in Nam we fought as a team, didnt matter where u were from. I always get along with everyone, if i see it breakin bad i like to make an exit. I fiqure they're all good guys, just dont like people talking bout hacking up the flock. In a way i could see a point, everyone is entitled to they're opinion, and they didn;t like mine. I'm doing good, getting ready to leave Honduras next month. Getting itchy to get back to work on the project. Been getting bored and so i've been posting just about everything i can think of. I have a ton of work to do on the body alone, floor pans, body mounts, and the list goes on. I'll finish her up before the November Hawk flies though. Working solo also. not a problem. One thing for sure, I'll know my car well when it's all over. Being a master electrician will come in handy for the complete rewire. Good to hear from you. Hope all is well with you... Stan in NE Pa.

That Hokey Ass Message Board(HAMB) is Ok most of the Time, I am surprised they Jumped you like that though Most are OLD Rodders 'bout like Us, 60's and up so again I am surprised,I bet 90% of there Fords Have Chevy Engines So WTF. I do remember asking why You didn't go Mopar back when you first Came on board here,I would have answered the Best I could with Limited Knowledge Of the Product tho... Hey we even try to help each other with Import Info If needed,(don't Always drive the Good stuff) Gas mileage and Hot Rod isn't always Synonymous. Bob I am sure he was just getting a Rise Out of You LOl But Waycross is on the edge of the Okefenokee Swamp so does Gator Bait sound Right?

I like my 50 Plymouth, i think its cool. Lots of potential according to my thoughts. Its got the olden day style and with a nice paint job, good interior work and a reliable drive train i'd rather have that than a more modern built unit that will only last for 5 years.. Stan

I have a friend who likes Mopar products and he admits they surely have some problems. I personally have nothing against Mopars, I just hate the asian imports.

I guess you could say i antaganized the situation , but not until we were trading blow for blow. Water over the dam now, its time to move on to a more positive tone. Just gotta say there aint nothing better than pulling a sbc out of your pocket when your being mugged. LOL Stan

Not to venture far from the topic but I have lurked the HAMB a time or two and noticed that their moderators will tell a guy that his 67 model isn't welcome in their forum. I've seen that more than once too. Sounds like a group of discriminators to me. I have enough stress in my automotive world without being around a group hatin' on my 45yo ride that's too new.

I think they are a Mostly pre 40's group, but who knows beside them. Also I do Know that My fav. Chassis Guru Billy Shopes Is a head Honcho on there,Mr Shopes was a Chrysler Engineer and help start the Ram chargers on there Rein of Terror from the, I think, Late 50's onward Remember the 50's Gasser looking car with the Megaphone Exhaust? Stan, there Have been Several Early Hemi's 331 and tranny's in the Atlanta Craigslist, If you want to appease the Hambster's. Lol If I could I would use one if building an early Gasser,But I am Not.

The moderator's remark that stuck with me was pre-66 cars. I belive that crowd use to have a 1949 cutoff date. Seems like their self-imposed cutoff year keeps moving so they can gain new membership to maintain the status quo of the leadership. JM observations/interpretations
Stan, I personnally would think, if you are building a gasser, an early hemi in it would be ultra cool. And I'm a Chevy guy.
Rant: I think the sbc has been over-done in the streetrod world. Maybe it's easy of adaptability, IDK. When I see a chromed-up stocker in a fabulous rod, it makes me cringe. A non-traditional engine of any make or era would spruce up any rod and give it a certain pizzazz of difference from the crowd. JMO
