papacharlie: merry christmas all. good thing we all made it past the "end of the world" LOL
Merry Christmas again.
The "end of the world" scenario has been around before. The last time it was in the year 2000 when all the doomsday lovers were jumping up and down. This time they were taking the Mayan calender which ended on 12-21-12 and figuring that was it. Gimme a break... Now this world will surely come to an end some day but it is unlikely that the human race as we know it will be around to see it. A much more likely scenario is that we will destroy each other.

I'm digging this up to post a pic of the Christmas tree at the local Mom & Pop tire shop I frequent. Yes, I'm just getting around to loading holiday pictures.

About a month or so behind! I hope you are not that late at the track when the tree comes down. Some of my neighbors just got rid of their Christmas trees.

Dave: Are you trying to say something?...LOL... I don't think Scott wants an old gear head showing him up...LOL...
When our kids were very small and believed in Santa Claus. We left the tree up and wreaths on the doors. Because they noticed that other people did. My wife and I explained that was because other people celebrated Christmas at a later date then we did. So we kept our tree up longer to celebrate... Now my next to youngest granddaughter hasen't believed since she was 6...

I was always good on the pro tree but my timing on the bracket tree was not that good. My grandsons, who are 5 and 7 years of age, are afraid not to believe. They might not get presents. Granpa got them some rocks last year as I teased them a lot about that before Christmas, they thought it was funny, they still have the rocks.

I never used a pro tree but in the vehicle I last raced (tnt for fun) I had to hit the go pedal as the 2nd yellow was going off, that gave me a pretty good rt, even got a triple-0 a few times.
I tell my kids rocks, twigs, no presents at all becasue of behavior, but they're old enough to know it's a ruse.
