No, nothing interchanges and the only automatic transmission that interchanges, is the universal case TH-350. Standard transmissions like the Muncie, BW Super T-10 and others, bolt to a bellhousing, which has a common GM bolt pattern.

+2 tuff, two totally different engines. The TH-200-4R will work as well on either engine which also has a universal bolt pattern.
Have a great holiday guys.

Well, There goes my 50 dollar stroker build. Gotta one hundred dollar budget. Just Kiddin, Thanks for your input guys, your knowledge will save me from making dumb ass rookie mistakes. Ive got a 50 Plymouth i plan on a 350 stroker, rv cam, turnpike runner. dont know much about stall speed tc's, they werent around , i dont beleive, in the late 60's...when i raced my 64 velle ss 427. Got 63 years on me now and i want an old new cruiser. looker, runner. Im out of country right now but return in May to try to finish my project before winter of 2013 sets in.. Im hungry to jump back in, tryin to set my ducks up in order to cut down on mistakes and mis spent time and cash.. Doin it all solo, nut for nut, bolt for bolt, complete frame off, the right way, no cuttin corners. So, i'll have lots more questions, seems your mind is always workin and your wrench not as much// Bob, Tuff, Pepsi and you other great guys, I thank you and Have a great Thanksgiving PS Bondo and Gravy dont mix.... Stan in Pa.

dude let me see if I can Make it worse! I have had Both 350's and don't understand how the Chev is SO much more popular.you can change so much stuff on the pontiac like the heads all interchange 350-400-455 so you can put a set of 70's heads #96 or 7k3 on a smog era moter and put comp. at around 10. to 1 400 crank fits a 350 block with no work parts are cheap but dissapearing at the Scrap yards.pontiacman and tuff are really into pontiac stuff so if you want to go that way they Got ya Covered.

Stan.,. forget the stroke and poke.,. I would opt for the Pontiac 400 or 455, then get a set of 6X-4 heads (2.11"/1.77" valves) to top the build off. This will be your most cost effective way, to get the biggest bang for your buck.,. plus torque like there is no tomorrow.

Pontiac 350 and 400's have the same stroke so no gain there on using a Pontiac 400 crank in a Pontiac 350.

I wonder if i could stuff in a 400 or 455 in the 50 plymouth. SBC moved an inch to the passenger side will stuff in. Theres a steering box clearance prob, with a bbc i gotta do a lot of head scrathing, cut inner fenders, hope the headers dont hit the tires, and what else i dont know.. Theres an engine dimension post, i'll find out what tell is goin on. Thanks Guys.. Stan in Pa...

I like a Buick 455 Mo Better, the lightest of the GM Big block series.
