rebuilding my first 350 sb

Is there a standard rebuild kit to buy at part store I am going with a mild cam but mind u I am illiterate but very interested in building a motor for my 69 converted c-10 4x4 the motor is a78 350 that smokes and the guy rebuilt the bottom end prior to me buying I plan to just get nice not hotrod or show truck any advise will b appreciated thanks

YES, parts can be bought nearly anywhere. BUT, if you rebuild it wiht new parts and it never goes to a machinist to freshen the worn areas, it will have the same or worse problems after the rebuild.
SO, it needs to be disassembled, INSPECTED by a competant machinist, and then parts can be bought.

+1 If it needs machine work and it is not done then you are just wasting your money.
Northern auto parts has reasonably priced rebuild kits for the chevy 350.

i agree. if she smokes, its time to visit a machine shop. does it smoke on start up or when you put the fun pedal down?
