I have a 72 El Camino SS with a 454. I want to upgrade the rockers I want to get roller rockers but dont know that much about them please help

I have a set of comp rollers new in box that I never used for a 1972 454. They are for the stock heads. I went to a different set of heads and a roller cam and I could't use them. They sell for around two hundred dollars. I would sell them for much less. I'm just curious, what temperature does your engine normally run? Mine runs on the hot side and I have never been able to figure out why.
