Is there any place to find decent Gen II Camaro doors at a reasonable price?  I need a driver's side door, the current one is just caked with old bondo and all the used ones I found are going for $400 shipped and need just as much work.

A door skin is cheap but that's 3 days labor minimum!!

hmm... 3 days... to remove the door... remove and reskin the door.. reinstall and then repaint the door..   or repaint and install..

lets look at a short article on it from CC...

well... you are going to have to stop using the doors for shrimp trawling..  or they will never be right..

i wonder if there are any available over in texas.. might  be some rust free cars there...

shipping is expensive on big heavy items like this..

i don't recall if the 78 is the same.

Door skin jobs normally don't pay more than eight hours body labor. Those doors are pretty rare in good shape though. Either way it might be worth knocking off all the bondo to see how bad the existing part really is, unless its bad rusty. Fitting a new skin (even if the skin itself sucks and they all do) is a lesser evil than fitting a whole door shell from who knows where. What you gotta watch out for when buying a used door is that it may already have been skinned at some point. I'd want to look directly at whatever I was gonna buy.
