I have read what you wrote several times and I am confused as to what you are asking?

Seeing your long winded (I am not trying to offend you) post, what exactly is your question?  Are you askin if they are going 100% digital?  Are you asking if they are getting rid of some rags?

A long time ago, my boss told me something that stuck with me and that was  "I don't want to know how the watch works, just tell me what time it is."

D I am Just Curious as to what direction they want to Go.When I came here we tried to help folks with answers about there car's Performance by not buying into building something that Isn't really Street able.Sure you can hang Light's on a cup car and drive it on the Street(I have SEEN more than one)but can we all afford to do that.Putting a Dominator on a 350 to me and most I know Just Isn't reality.EKF (whom I respect)does it and with some tuning drive them around.but that just Isn't an everyday car,can your mom enjoy that. Sure Henry's Zo6  Is bad but how many kids in school can buy one (my choice would be the Cadillac)I know the Magazines will be around for Years to come and as long as they are, Current articles will trail behind to keep up readership so I know they wouldn't go to an Online Mag.if you will. And no one mag can cover everything everyone wants to see.But do they want to cater to a Specific crowed, Young, Middle age, OldFarts, racers, I know they need to sell products that are advertised therein.I once shot my mouth off at Jeff Smith(this is my apology) to bring his orange Chevelle to Georgia and drive it into Downtown Atl during Rush hour On a December morning when it's 30 degrees and Raining. He might do it once and at that point would get where I was coming from.I think we just wanted to keep it Real. I have taken apart a couple Watches (didn't get them back together) but now I know, ya know. And I guess it's TIME for me to Shut up but I Loved coming here.So what Venue do ya'll want to Pursue,I would Like to help If I can and DO NOT want to Offend Anyone. If you want another YB let me know(I just look at the Porn I don't read the Article's)  Grin Enough for now

Darklark, I think what you're hoping for is for more low-budget features and projects? It's not exactly clear to me in your latest post.

You're asking Henry what is in his playbook, which he may not tell you, but you can help him by letting him know what you would like to see in a clear way.

We already offer a digital subscription for CHP at www.zinio.com. As for where we're going, I see us incorporating more digital content with print.

not trying to change the magazine content, we can not progress without pushing the Envelope I know this.but I believe in separating Fantasy from reality on what works for the common man.I hate to see someone egged on to buy parts that they can't tune cause they aren't street able parts.we used to get questions from all over the globe.the Guy from South Africa is a prime Example all he could find was a 283 and some other junkyard parts. But we all offered him advice on what to buy to get as much hp as available with old Factory parts. we promoted good gas mileage and reasonable power output.the problem came with Nitrous boy and a few others that are more Skilled than Most advising them to run'em till they Blow then unloading on us for NOT pushing the limits.we may be old fashioned but my stuff lasts for years rather than a few laps.all this is only referring to Online Q@A I got no problem with the Magazine.

one thing i dont like is comparing apples to oranges.    you know, the articles like,.... were gonna try 5 different intakes & dyno them.  then, you read,...while we switched this intake, we changed carbs,.... and on this intake swap we used roller rockers,...and on this intake swap we tried different headers,...etc.   it really has no info unless you only change one part & then test it.  JMO.      i know its hard to please everybody all the time.  understandable.

OK guys, I'm reading along with a fresh coffee and I believe that there is much merit in the different positions that all have taken.,. so far.
Most builds you see in magazines are beyond the scope of the average poster.,. who happens to be working around a penny jar budget that is topped off with limited hand/tool skills.,. not to mention a low plateau of knowledge.
However, this guy has a serious desire to learn and do the job himself.
Us old mods have coached these guys with ohhhh,,,, over 15,000 posts.
Admittedly, we could have squeezed more from any one combo, but if the tuning level needed to extract more is not there, then it becomes a moot point.
I have personally built many blower motors, but it takes deep thought and money to pull it of without meltdown.
We, on the forum, have direct contact with any given poster and play along with their build.
Some younguns tried it their own way and then failed miserably, only to come back with cap in hand,,,, asking for help a second time, so they might do it right.
I never recommend outrageous power builds, for those that lack a solid foundation in the dynamics of a racing engine.,. it would simply be beyond their grasp, but  within reach,,,, if, they work their way up the power ladder, slowly.
Magazines, unfortunately don't have this interchange with readers,,, so they fire a spread shot in hopes of reaching the masses.
Many times, I find that the build is specific and fails to reach it's intended mark altogether.
I truly believe that there is room on this forum for the racer and the grocery getter.,. but clear lines must be drawn in the sand and observed.
That is my 2 cents and I'll sit back now and hope that some solution can be found.
Thanks for reading this far.

Actually, several people were confused as to what you were asking, not just me.   I don't ban people, unless they become complete belligerent idiots.

My line "don't tell me how the watch works, just tell me what time it is" is simple.

If you have something to say, just say it.
That is what it means.  It has nothing to do with getting line to follow anyone.

I think your post confused everyone.
From what I read on this site there are few with big dollars to spend. Most are on tight budgets with only a little to spend on their cars.
There should be some low budget articles in this mag but how can many of us get excited by another 350 Chevy build for 2000 bucks.
The magazine must allow us to dream too. The latest issue has a 1700 hp big block build. This was something I read with interest. I once competed against cars with big power and it still holds my interest. I can no longer afford that type of car but I still like to read about them and crazy HP motors.

I stay confused. Confused

Dave, every time I took my cat in the car it wanted to be under the pedals, howling. I bet yours would have jumped pretty high if you had fired the car up right then!
