I will be purchasing my grandmother's 2001 chevy malibu with only 20K miles on it. As the vehicle has sat in a garage for several winters in a row, and many of the miles on the car are tow miles from RV trips, are there things that I need to be aware from non-use of the vehicle? I don't want to get raked by the dealership in town when I bring it in for service, but I also don't want to get stranded on a trip. Thanks.

are you wanting to do it yourself or what to tell the repair shop.I would recommend a 50,000 mile service/all fluids and filters belts and hoses/thermostat lube your chassie and most likely tires need replacing your emisson controls should be ok put in a can of good fuel system cleaner before you drive too much
