no but the guy i bought it from said it ran a high eleven 11.9 once on slicks with a good launch.hes a guy that wouldnt lie but who knows if thats true. i think it would run in the mid twelves on most days.

if i was this guy i would stroke it to a 383, its not much more money.

I'm in the process of building a 355 now. flat tops, scat rotating assy, balanced, brodix heads, weiend dq tunnel, haven't decided on the cam yet. it'll be custom ground mechanical roller by lindvig machine works. estimating 600hp and it'll spin above 9k.

67,,,
Ouch
9000+ RPM is a very tall order
Have you built something before, that would wind this high, with flat tops?
Are you talking a 3.48" stroke 350 small block?
This could be a very interesting build,
I'd like to hear more of your plan
what are you putting it in?
will the car run on the street?
I'm assuming its a car, on gas
nitrous or boost
I'm curious

ohh yea i would love to build a 383. just gona put it in and see what it will do. And 69nova You have a very simular set up as me. Mid 12s dose sound resonable and if i have that kind of a turnout I wont need to go through the trouble of stroking my motor out any further due that its a street car. Be a good race if I see you around flint lol.

Many cars on the street are stroked. Its an easy efficient way for some extra hp.

I haven't spun above 9 yet. my last 350 spun to 8. i'm confident i'll be able to do it having bob (snake) doing the balance work. he builds 1200 hp bb's for hydros. i'm starting out natural with the possibility of nos. I know the heads I have will flow enough to build 600 and handle the 6-6.50 lift cam i'm going to have cut. it's going in a 67 pontiac lemans.

67,,,
What, exactly did you have to do, to "pull" 8+ with the 3.48" stroke 350, and have it hold together?
You make it sound so easy to do.
I know Winston Cup engines turn 8+, but they are mega buck engines on a 5 gallon dry sump system.
what about your oiling, did your pump not drain the oil pan at those hi RPM's, at hi R's your oil has a hard time returning fast enuff to the pan for the pump to keep pumping it?
how big was your oil pan?
did your alternator fins straighten out at hi R's?
belts stayed on too, not get twisted?
I would be interested in specific components you used.
rod length and type?
compression ratio pistons and type?
cam lift and duration, solid/hydraulic, brand?
ignition used?
valves and valve springs used?
clearances?
any specifics would be greatly appreciated
I'm still very curious and would love to know your secret
or "snakes" savvy and know how
always willing to learn

im curious too.
do you live around flint,mi?

if you get that much power out of your 355 than you will stomp me in to the ground. your heads are way better than my iron gm heads. if you have a true 600hp motor even with that heavy lemans you will be alot lower than mid 12s. my motor makes about 430hp and torque with a nice street setup but nothing like you are planing.
like tuff said im curious as to what parts and how you are putting this thinf together. what will your compression be?

600 horse puts 67's Lemans in the hi 10's or lo 11's in the 1/4 mile,,,
with 6.13 gears out back,,,
and you'd get your butt whooped good.
I hope he shares his power secrets with us.
I'm sure other gear heads are very curious too
