    Hi People,
Have any of you people ever used a Holley 650 spreadbore carby on a
350 SBC and what were the results? This is a new player to me as I
prefer up until now a B/g 650 or 600 Holley D/P which works well for
me and are very easy to live with. Any Opinions regarding real day to
   day experiences very welcome..Skyeking.....

I've heard you get better MPGs and the throttle response is better too. I never used one myself but talked with some guys that did make a swap to the spreadbore from squarebore.

If you want a good spreadbore just use a stock rochester. I have a holley 650 dp spreadbore and i could never get the engine running right. Might have been operator error but who knows.

Way back in the day, I used most all available carbs, and I liked the Rochester Q Jet.  I liked the economy it provided and it performed as well as any and better than most.

Hi People,
Thanks for the replies.A few points to be made..

In my tenure with cars [mostly G.M.] I have had no luck with
Rochester carbs no matter what the size or application as I
find them to piss and leak like a cacada.I have found that the
cleche that you should go to what you know is a good Idea..
Since lodging the post I have run some spray in carby cleaner
into the B/Grant 650 speed demon that is on the ZZ4/355 after
28000 miles of good service which made no difference to the good
results which have always been on service..What you see is what
you get without hassles..Prior to the B/G Over the years I found
that the Holley 600' DP and Vac 2nds are reliable and used for
right  application like anything else are an assett to the motor
Every body has a favourite and good luck to them...Skyeking. ...
