I have heard so many different sayings on what a sbc 350 bored .60 over really is. I have heard that for every bore you add 5 so a 355 would b .30 over. then i heard a 350 bored .60 over is a 362. Can someone please tell me what my motor would b  considered. sbc 350 .60 over.

here's the math. bore x bore x stroke x .7854 x number of cylinders. you have a 360 now

Highhill,,
your 350 @ +.030 add .002 clearance for 355.5 cubes on the nose.
@ +.060     .002 clearance for 360.8 cubes on the nose.
,,, there, I did the math for you,,, (actually I already had it) Smile

passing on some basic knowledge. I remember when I was first taught that formula, I would figure the ci on engines just for fun and to see if they matched with what they were supposed to be. lol I've never had a problem remembering it after that either

ok. thank you all so much, I really appreciate the help you all give... I want to ask you all something. I put this motor together using specs and matching numbers. and I was just curious what you all think it will do.

350 bored .60 over
power plus intake similar to performer rpm. idle - 5500
flat top pistons.
906 vortec heads.
1.5 roller tip rockers.
lunati 292/292. 480  lift cam range 2000-6000
art carr 22-2600 stall
th 350 transmission
3.90 gear ratio ( I have 22's on it) so brings the ratio down to approx 3.73
1 inch carb plate, because bowl was hitting my vac chrome plug
holley street avenger 670
msd ignition
nkg # 8 spark plugs, jegs 8.5 wires

please let me know if you all think I have a decent set up. street/ strip. how much horsepower approx will i be looking at. thank you all again for all your tips

You should be around 375HP the professional products intake is holding it back they are nothing like the performer RPM at all.

o.ok. sounds like a pretty decent motor. So its try when they say you are just paying for the name. although they look almost the same, it is a big difference. I heard others say that about pp products, I did not think it made a difference. thanks for the insight.

I havent used a PP yet but have seen plenty and installed plenty with no complaints on SBC. I've seen some dyno pulls that showed PP making more power than other brand named intakes. I'm not endorsing them but theres alot worse intakes out there an PP.

What exactly is the 'pp' manifold?
any similarity to the old Edelbrock SP2P (small port runners)?
these were great manifolds on small engines (Jeep 304's)great bottom end, good mid range,,, zilch for top end,,,

I was involved with a very similar build and it was a strong engine in a 85 C10 I was pleased with the power. It was not too over powering for the street I think you should be satisfied.
