I have a friend that is wanting to give me his 383, free, out of his 1968 Plymouth Fury as he's upgrading to a 440. Should I go ahead and swap out my 350 for a mopar 383 or am I getting myself into a big headache modifying my 91' Chevy 1500?

find something to put the 383 in. leave a bowtie a bowtie. It will be a hassle modifying the trans and engine crossmembers and youll prolly have to get a custom driveshaft made. also your truck is prolly tbi so you will have excess wires and you will have to do something about a fuel pump.

Horsepower sells Engines and torque wins races.

that would just be sac- religious.sell the 383 to a mopar guy,, take the money, make the 350 a 383 stroker, and find the guy you sold the mopar to and blow his doors off.

You should be able to sell/swap that 383 for a good 350 Chevy.
The Gods will strike you down if you put that Mopar engine in your Chevy!!!

It would be less trouble and cheaper to make yours a 383.
