Thank you!  I had a kid in his ricer come up next to me and made that annoying wet-fart noise with his exhaust wanting to run on green.  I nodded then left his a** behind.  

Anyway, as for the 305, they're okay to restore for a numbers-matching project car or maintain for a daily driver.  Other than that, trade it for a case of your preferred beveridge and find a used 350 as those are plentiful and the aftermarket caters to them heavily.

they'll never learn that loud, irritating, coffee-can-exhuast does not equal fast car

Should i really say +7?
305s are good if all you are doing is cruising and looking to get good MPGs. If you want actual performance a 350 or larger is the way to go, its all personal preference in the end.

There is some performance potential in a 305 but dollar for dollar it isnt economical
