People Tell me that I should lift my car to take strange off the suspension by jacking up my car tires. Also to get avoid flattop on my tires. So my two question is that do I have to jack up my tires if I am going to store it in my garage for the winter time in Pennsylvania. Also is there other suggestions that I could do beside buying jacks just for the winter?
thanks for any advice

some people put their cars on jackstands.i live in michigan and we store our cars in the winters just in the garage.i just keep the tires aired up if they need it and fire it up once a week and let it get to operating temp

So as long as I check my tire pressure and start my car once a week I should be fine with everything.
Also all the suspension parts are all original for my 1986 El Camino. I also did a big block to small block swap so knowing that would it make a difference?

i was told to put a little oil in the cylinders, put stabil in the tank and dont run the engine at all. The guy siad that starting the car and letting it idle is harder on it than just letting it sit. Plus its a waste of gas. He is a certified mechanic and a longtime racer. But once again that may just have been his personal preference.

-full gas tank with sta-bil. -50/50 antifreeze full(run to get in engine,im sure you have it all ready.) -change oil(dirty oil with water can cause rust and bearing failur.) -brake fluid full. -WD-40 on exposed metal on engine(so it doesnt rust) -wash and wax -run car for 30min before(to evaporate all moisture in engine) -over inflating tires(no flat spots) -disconnect battery -run car once a month(to prevent getting things corroded and seals drying out)

Running the engine is vital in my opinion. I've seen oil gel in the oilpan of cars that wasnt run for an extended time. I would reccomend at least once a month and long enough to run at operating temp for 30 mins.

Being in the south the coldest I see is the teens but for the most its 20s-30s. I can still get mine out to play during the winter months
