i was talking to somebody today and long story short he gave me a 302 chevy motor, does anybody know anything about these? i heard they are pretty decent engines

They are good motors but check the cylinder bore as well as the crank main bores and make sure the block isn't toast. Should have 2.1" rod journals and 2.448" main journals. Also i think the stock bore is 4.00". No more than 4.060".

If its an original 302 Chevy its a rare find. You should give it to me for safe keeping.

give us the casting number off the block. we can make sure it is a 302. As i can recall they only came out in 1967-1969 in select camaros.

You will need to list the suffix code and possibly the crank shaft casting number as well.
Horsepower sells Engines and torque wins races.

ok i will have to look at the numbers, i havent went to pick it up yet but the guy knows his motors and says its a 302 chevy, says its all complete as well. i will try and see if i cant pull some numbers
