I drive a toyota 4x4 pickup as my daily, built in Kentucky. My friend who drives an f150 gives me crap about my import. His truck was built in mexico(from few domestic parts). My truck has driven me 127k with a battery, fluids, and tires. I also own a 1972 Jimmy, 1968 shortbox Chevy, 1978 impala, and plan on buying a new impala soon to replace my wifes oh so dependable, but rusting away Civic(built in Canada). In our global economy what is imported or domestic and what actually gives jobs to Americans may not always be as straight forward as it appears. When my Toyota dies in the far away future I plan on replacing it with Chevy Colorado(if its US made). If you want to buy American(and you should), do your research. Just my 2 pennys.

it may give a few americans some jobs but the money does not stay in the u.s, it helps the *** more than it helps us. the money from the chevy goes into our economy no matter where its built(even tho it is stupid.)

I will never own another import. I sadly bought one Toyota back in the 80s and it was the worst piece of junk I ever had.
