clean quarters

any thoughts on what takes the black mess left over on my back quarters off the best.  

Not sure bout removing it but spraying them with some Easy-Off first makes the job easier.  

i shoulnt of waited untill the end of the year to get all of it off. its the worst ive had it.  

I hate to see that mess!  It would be hard to find something to get it off that wouldnt mess up the paintjob.  

yup thats my problem. even tho the paint job looks like *** and was done by some ***  

Might be a good reason for new paintjob this winter?  Maybe a nice dark color so it wouldnt stand out so much next time.

Thats my plans for the Caprice. Nice satin black. It wont be a preatty car but thats not what I'm building it for!  

thats cool, what year is your caprice? did it come with the 402?  

1973, came from factory with 400. Its a all number matching car other than the engine. I built a 406 and put back into it.  

thats cool i think my buddy use to have a 72 but when p2 sees this he will remember the year.it was a nice car. he had the stock 402 big block with a little better cam. i saw hime get beat down by a stock 87iroc-z. he was catching up tho.

They are heavy cars no doubt but with a solid engine,good gear and some suspension upgrades it'll be fun.
