i currently use ac delco , what has your experience been with your e3's and possibly any other high quality but affordable spark plug?

Sorry, no info on the e3. I have been using the Accel shorties. They are made by ND and have the U groove ground strap. I have had good performance out of these plugs, hit by a MSD 6.

I could be convinced that the MSD6 could possibly add a few small ponies, but not the spark plug..

never used e3's
usually used splitfires or ac delco platinums
before them platinum plugs came out, decades ago, the best plug i'd used was ngk's
also using msd 6al...it does help in the hp department

Ran into some trouble with them. Installed a set in my '92 Silverado, the plugs (and I had the correct ones) projected too far into the cylinders, so on first crank several of the ground straps got smashed into the electrodes. Had to switch back to standard plugs.

Too expensive for what little hp gain if any will be seen.

I have them in my 2002 Z. THought id try them with the headers and exhaust system i put on it. I dont think they are worth the extra cost though the stock plugs would probobly perform the same.

Unless theres a problem with the plug your using changing it to a more expensive plug wont do anything but drain your wallet.
