I have a 56 chev with a 72 350 chev with vortec heads hedman headers,4-speed,3.73 posi.comp xe 274 cam, edlebrock 750 cfm carb.It also has speedpro hyp flat top pistons.I have a pp cyclone intake with manifold is supposed to run up to 5500 rpm.I was wondering if I picked up an edlebrock rpm or weind stealth. or a pp cyclone could I get a little performance or gain a few tenths in the quarter.I was just wondering the manifold is the street performance. So I was just wondering if I would get better performance with a new manifold. It is not a daily driver street/strip.  thanks proge

Even though Professional Products are cheap rip-offs of more accomplished designs, as far as I've heard and seen they don't perform too poorly. You may pick up some gains on the track with a air-gap style manifold (that will probably also have larger runners than a manifold rated to 5500 rpm) but otherwise the gains may be slight.

Your post is confusing. You say you have a Cyclone on the engine now but to want to change it to edelbrock rpm, weind stealth or cyclone?

It is street/strip not a daily driver.I thought maybe an edlebrock, weind manifold might make a diiference over the cheap professional products intake.  thanks proge

Professional Products are copies of current intakes[imo]. I have seen dyno tests that show the PP intakes making more power than the intakes you have listed. I like Edelbrock intakes myself

Hi There,
Before you spend one cent on changing manifolds I suggest that you tune in
the 750 Holley and the jet sizes along with the fuel pressure supplied.
The cam you are using may respond better to a 650 carby better than a 750.
Assess what you already have and define their maximum capabilities.
I believe that an Edelbrock performer was rated at 5500 so it would give
you no benefit. Have you paid any attention to your ignition system??
                              Good luck with the project..Skyeking....
