Where do I start. A friend passed away a few years ago and we are helping sort all he left behind. I am in charge of all the automotive stuff. I need help ID-ing the following engines and what they should sell for: 68-69 427 4-bolt main Block #3935439 the VIN stamped on the deck is 381462245CW
62-67 327 with a mienke intake? and corvette valve covers #3789870. It looks like this engine was built up.
65-66 396 short block with HiPref stamped on block #3855962 also 396 heads with triangle ports.
I have looked a few places on the internet and I am not finding much or not looking in the right places. I am a retired mechanic and working for Chrysler now. I am mostly a Mopar man and I am familar with the muscle car era to know these engines could be something special, but not familar enough with chevy's of the 60's. I am just not sure where to go for honest infomation. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
There is also a 63 Chevy II Nova he has turned in to a gasser and the rear axle is set up for ladder bars. It is painted, no fenders or hood, it is just a rolling chassis, painted black. Not sure how to price the car either due to it is modified.
Thank you.
