Hey,
I have a 1989 camaro RS v6 2.8. I know it really isn't a great engine, but I wanna keep my car going cause I love it. Teh check engine light goes on and off and I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on how to fix the problem. Also, at times, the idle will fluctuate and the battery will drop below half on the guage. Any suggestions?

most of the chain parts store will read the check engine codes for no cost...
sounds like there is an intermittent interuption in the charging system...
check ALL battery cable (both ends) connections...they need to be clean and corrosion free
