November Issue-"Reader's Rides"

Hey CHP Staff, I just wanted to take a minute to thank all that were involved in the selection of the "Rides" for the November Special. It was quite a shock to thumb through my copy yesterday and find my Elky staring back at me. I was just floored man. To be included with so many really great "Rides" is quite an honor for this old hand. I wasn't sure if this was the proper forum to express my thanks or not, if not, kindly move to the correct spot. Thanks again CHP.....  

You can see your ride again in a couple of weeks when we get it up on the features page.  

damn you didnt even know you were going to be in the mag. shoot i hope my ride gets in, that would be bad ass.

69Nova, No, I never heard a thing till the issue came out. They dropped the "Bronze Bomb" on me. Hope yours gets in too bud.  

Marks72 it will be in the features. My only problem is what sub category to put it in. It will show up onto the homepage but I can only make it appear in only one of the makes in features. Rest assure it will be a top story at one point when I get more of the November features up.  

hook me up mpayne. what do i have to do to get in? i hope i dont have to get a better car....lol  

do i nee a better pic.? if its a good enough car.  

i got a question in the q&a once and was stoked i cant imagine getting a actual picture of my car in there thats awesome man

On another note, there's quite a story about my ol Elk. A while back it was vandalized severely enough to require a complete resto. They made a damn mess out of an almost perfect Elk, and did it in less than 8 minutes time. So it's been in "paint" all summer long. So believe me, it really lifted my spirits to see it get some ink. But all that is a whole other story, just wanted you guys to know the timing could not have been better. Thanks again....   Mark  

Sad how quickly it takes to ruin a car. One of my brother vandalized a car once and was so proud of it. I just don't get what is so cool about vandalizing someones ride.  

Congrats Mark! I was contacted by a 3rd party company and they told me I made the magazine a few weeks ago and wanted me to buy their plaque. I haven't gotten my magazine in the mail yet to verify though. Is there a blue '70 Chevelle with white stripes in there?

Hey Zach, Not only are you in there, your Velle is directly under my Elk on page 18. So while I thank you for the congrats, I gotta throw it right back atcha. Nice ride...

I got my copy 4 or 5 days ago. Think geographic location plays a big part as to when we get our copies.

PS-I never heard anything from any company about a plaque though????
