I have a "57 Belair Convertible, which has not required any work at all since restoration in early "90's.  Now, when ignition is in off position, generator(is now an alternator) and oil lights stay on.  The motor will turn, but there is no fire. Dash lights will not come on and there are no blown fuses.  Any suggestions in where to start trouble shooting?

Welcome to the forum, topless. Can you post a picture? Oh wait, you have a vert, never mind. Interesting problem, I think I would first check the ignition switch, but the idiot lights are odd. Perhaps some circuit seeking ground through them.

Probably got a bad ground somewhere, check all of them.
