Longhorns are a somewhat low production truck. According to my book 8797 were built in 69, compared to more than 74000 3/4ton 8' bed trucks(2wd). Longhorns are the ones with the extra long 8.5 bed right? I think they were built just for carrying slide in campers. All big block trucks of this era are more desirable. Unfortunatly, it seems, the the long(and longer like yours) trucks don't pull near the price of the shortys. In your case I don't think rare adds up to valuable, at least at this time. Keep it, fix it up, and love it and eventually that will probobly change. You want to see more like yours? Google 1969 longhorn chevy.

I also own a 69 Longhorn with a factory 396, turbo 400, Dana 60, pb & ps. It was bought new in Kimball, NE. Truck has been in my family since 79. I'm also very curious about the total production of Longhorns with BB's. I have actually only seen 1 other & it is sitting in a storage yard close to mine.

I have only seen one other myself. My grandpa handed this one down to me and he found another in some ones yard for sale for like 1500. So he bought it. But it has a 402 in it. I think its a 71 or 72. But I cannot find production numbers with the motor production included. I know there were around 8800 made in 69 but how many were decked out with the 396BB turbo 400 and all the other goodies???
