Thanks Dave. All of the input is greatly appreciated and interesting. I'm fairly certain you and friends know a bit more than I, but the first thing that comes to mind is: LOTS of people are running 'lectrics in street rods and not so hot rods without issue. What's the theory behind not running them? My temp really starts its upward trend at highway speed anyway, where there shouldn't be a problem without fans at all. As far as slowing down coolant flow, and I may be wrong here, but common since tells me it's a closed system; if you slow down the flow thru the rad, then you must also be slowing down the entire system, including thru the block, allowing the coolant more time in there to absorb more heat and bringing higher temp water back to the rad, taxing its ability to do its job. Seems it's gotta flow at the same rate throughout the system, and I'm sure there is an optimum rate for a given combination. Not opposed to trying any of it- I'm in Vegas, 110+ the past week- un-drivable.

Rod your electric fan only has one rpm my mechanical spins with engine rpm the more rpm i turn the faster the fan spins right?Your fan cant keep up and probably has the same *** minie so called shroud i had wich is basiclly none, the factory shroud causes one hell of a turbulace and pulls masive amountes of air through the rad.Now slowing the water flow down i also refused to believe it would work fought the theory for years but like we discuused we are at witts ends and time to try something differant right? The slow flow gives the radiator time to do its job better. Nascar does the same thing roundy guys gotta catch hell keeping those cars cool.If you find the right combo of flow speed and pull enough air thru the rad it cant overheat. As far as others getting away with electric fans they dont run our combo and if you ask them they probably arnt real happy about there engine temp either in traffic or maybe highway like you.I had and my buds had the same to the t problem as you .please through them flexolights away.Slowing the flow gives the rad time to disapate the heat i have a double pass radiator.
