I have a chance to get a 94 Buick Roadmaster with a good running engine, my question is the 350 in a Buick the same as the 350 in a Chevrolet and can I change it to a carb by just changing the manifold and also change the distrubtor. I have a 73 Gremlin that I would like to put it in. Also any ideas about the trans that is in the Buick, is it a regular 700R4? Any help will be apreciated. Jim

Yes it is the same engine. As far as what you would have to change i am pretty sure that is correct. I do know that if it is an LT1 the distibutor is behind the distributer so good luck it is a pain. I know Monster Transmission carry's the transmission. There web-site is Eatmyshift.com ask there tech dept. about the rest though.

What does the intake system look like? Does it look like a TPI setup or a TBI setup? If it looks like a tpi setup Id leave it fuel injected. Some Roadmasters came with an LT-1. It has iron heads but its vitually the same engine the Impala SS and Camaro's had. The distrib on an LT-1 is an opti-spark and is located underneath the water pump. Yes everything will bolt up fine.

Yes, that '94 uses an LT1 style 350 just like the Caprice. You can easily change it over to a carb.

The transmission is going to be a 4L60E transmission. You need to check to see if it is a 1 piece case or 2 piece case.
