Is this a possible swap ? If so what would i need to make it work correctly ? The engine is a 350 with 418 hp. Will this tranny hold up ? I am running 3.42 gears but am thinking of running 3.73s. What do you think ?

You can put any trans in any vehicle with the right abount of modification. Youll probobly need a new driveshaft. The 700r is a longer trans than t350 or t400, which means that the trans crossmeber will have to be moved, modified or if your lucky some company out there makes one for your car. Does the malibu have a floor or column shifter? Im sure you have a column shift so the current shift mechanism will not work. A 700r has an extra gear to shift into(Overdrive). An aftermarket floor shifter is probobly the best option. The trans will bolt up to any GM engine with exception to the LS series so there shouldnt be an issue there.
