With race gas compression and a long-duration cam your engine would probably benefit from aftermarket heads. You're bordering on power ranges where unported, factory heads are starting to lose a bit of steam.

I agree, with your combo, I would look to the aftermarket for some better heads.  The double humps were good 30 years ago, but now there are much better heads to be had.  I would also plan on keeping my compression closer to 10.5 to 1.

Unless you plan on getting a 3.48" or even 3.75" stroke crank I may reconsider using a 292° flat tappet cam. That will be very rumpity in a tiny 327. A flat tappet at this kind of duration is a bit of a waste since it will most likely make a much narrower power range than a roller of near the same lift.

put some 305 heads on it and a big ass single plane inake, maybe a tunnel ram dual quad set up to go with your cam

don't really do any of that... Look at some vortec heads a performer RPM and an XE268 cam from comp and you will be much better served.

I was being sarcastic with the 305 heads and single plane stuff.
