Harden push rods are for use with guide plates if you do not have guide plates then you do not need harden push rods.

The only thing different about adjusting roller rockers is that they have poly lock style nut which have a set screw in the center of the nut adjust the rockers to 0 clearance and then a additional 1/4 turn.

the only thing else that i can think of is that my valve springs cant handle the lift of my cam.

i tried something similar swapping a 350 head for a 305 head and had basically the same problem except i didn't actually snap the pushrods hey ust bent almost in half. but any ways i ran the motor with a lot of rocker slap and the car wouldn't move because there is only about 4:1 compression or some other low number like that.

That makes almost no sense what so ever, nor does it offer a solution.  Typically putting a 305 head on a 350 will increase compression.  " rocker slap " means your lifters aren't adjusted properly it is not a viable option or a solution.

When you measured for your pushrod length did you use a solid lifter?
