for 87 G bodys... i happen to have a factory manual for that model... section 3C-17

lower control arm to frame bolts... the nut end... 65 ft pounds

upper control arm crossbar to frame bracket bolts..48 foot pounds.

upper control arm  pivot shaft nuts...   85 foot pounds...

upper ball joint to spindle nut...  52 foot pounds

lower ball joint to spindle nut..   70 foot pounds...

replacement bolts to hold the upper ball joint to the upper control arm... 8 foot pounds.. these are the little bolts... where the factory installed rivets...

steering box to frame bolts... 80 foot pounds...
idler arm bracket to frame nuts..  60 foot pounds

outer tie rod end to steering knuckle... 30 foot pounds...
inner tie rod end to center drag link..   40 foot pounds
center draglink to  pitman arm.45 foot pounds..
center drag link to idle arm... 40 foot pounds...

now.. how to put them all back on...    everybody sing...  the tie rods connected to the drag link... the drag links connected to the pitman arm...   the pitman arm is connected to the steering box...........................................

if you need rear bolt torques.. i will post again.. later...

the rear control arms are mostly 70 foot pounds...

what really really important.. is that all the bolts that go through bushings.. need to be tightened with the car at ride height...  or you will tear the bushings out really quick...     if you tighten the bushings with the suspension hanging... when the car goes to ride height... the bushings will already be about to tear do to the twist.. when you hit a bump... ... you will rip them out...

pitman shaft nut.. 185 foot pounds... this is a 1"5/16 hex nut..

I have a 1986 Elcamino and need the torq specs for the front suspension also.  I bought a rebuild kit but dont have the specs.  Is the elcamino a G body also?
