yes my question is i.m currently installing a 99 LS1 OUT OF A 99 TRANS AM INTO A 71 ELCAMINO I,VE ALREADY GOT A TRANS BUILT FOR IT AND THE ENGINE MOUNTS DONE WHAT I.M HAVING PROBLEMS WITH IS THE ALT HITTING THE GEAR BOX HAS NE ONE OUT THERE DONE ANY CONVERSION CLOSE TO WHAT I.M DOING ANY HELP WOULD GREATLY APPRECIATED

That sounds like a mean project, so your mounting the alternator low? or high?

check corvette mount for alt. or maby a small performance alt.
