Hey there, I was wondering if anyone could help me out. Here's my problem I'm running a 350 with an Edlebrock intake topped with an Edlebrock 4-barrel and when I'm driving I'm fine. But when I get stuck at a light or in a long line at the drive-through my temp starts to rise and gets up to about 110. To tell you the truth I've heard that 110 isn't overheating but close, so any ideas or suggestions would be nice. Thanks

Do you by chance have a Celsius temp gauge? 110F is not even warmed up yet.

Oh crap, sorry I meant 210. I talked to one guy and I told him that I had replaced the radiator, hoses, water pump, and thermostat. He suggested that I may have a carbon build up underneath my carb that could be retricting the flow.

What are you running for a fan? Clutch fan?(clutch bad?) Electric?(Is it big enough and turning on?) Is your fan shroud in position? If you've done everything else thats where I would look. Also, I've seen thermostats that didn't open far enough,(even new) so they couldn't move enough water at low rpm. Try pulling your thermostat out all together and see what happens. Don't leave it that way though. If that helps then replace it with a lower temp unit. Oh yeah, I've seen lots of engines run over 200. If it never gets over 210 idling I wouldn't worry too much, just try to give it more air.
