I wonder if the intention of the new Pop ups is to run off the remaining web traffic.

Of course it suppose to scare everyone away. Now for the serious stuff. What I was told by the development team was its suppose to generate more subscriptions. Being the content manager for this site I do agree it is annoying but to the boss man if it generates more money then its ok with them.

Sorry about the pop-ups for now there is nothing I can do about it.

If I buy a subscription, will you please make it stop?

What about getting a letter in the mail saying "last chance" when your subscription still has nine months left? The price on the "last chance" is higher than the normal subscription price. Have they turned this over to some outside idiots?

Gotta agree with all of the above. Would think the majority of the guys on here are already subscribers. No?

I agree with all you guys, it sucks to have that pop-up ever time I put a new article up on the site. But hopefully if they get some more subscriptions they will turn it off.

The sad thing is only certain sites got this popup. such as hotrod.com, superchevy.com, dirtrider.com and a few others.

Well, make that 9 of us. I'm gone, just too darn irritating for me. The same thing at Super Chevy. I'll check back in a few months at both sites and see if it's been resolved. I realize times are tough for everyone, but why do things that annoy your subscribers? Surely the sales dept. can get more creative than this. Later guys....

And PS - I love CHP, my favorite mag, and had been really enjoying this site. Guess I'll stick with the printed page.

I don't know why but I feared people would get annoyed with this pop ups and leaving.
