any body have an idea where on the quadrajet base or float bowl after a few days on my 66 chevy where specifically I'm losing fuel what part,before I tear it apart?

That's somewhat hard to read, but I think I get what you are saying. The Qjet is famous for leaking core plugs in the bottom of the float bowl. Most repairs are made by covering the plugs with epoxy. There are replacement plugs available that use a O ring seal.

But that's all I can say because I can't decipher that broken English enough to know what the problem is in the first place.

Thanks, Travis I have had this problem so I think I know what he meant. After I fixed mine, I posted some pictures on another board, but I can't get the link to work. If anyone would like to see them, you can go to elcaminocentral.com. Then in forums go to "tips and tricks" and then to, Qjet well plug fix.

Thanks to all that replied I've taken the carb off and elevated it with a piece of carboard underneath to see exactly where the leak is. the carb is a 2nd gen Qjet the plugs aren't the round type.BK
