That is a pretty large carb for a 350... If you really intend on using that specific carb you will be wanting to use a very large cam and some very impressive heads. A typical street motor would use a 650cfm set up.

Yes. My best recomendation would be to contact summit's tech line. They are very knowledgeable and will help you determine the proper cam specs for the carb you are planning to use. They will most likely be able to give you some ideas of a good head set-up as well.

Try www.northernautoparts.com for a rebuild kit and I recomend a cam with a .480-500 lift like the elgin or crane energizer kits they have. also for heads I would use a set of summit #sum-162111.

i will check into that, those heads are really expensive i might add, at least in my case... why so much lift? becuase of the big carb?

i think i will get the elgin kit with 214/214 duration and 443/443 lift is that a good choice?

ok check out the sum-152123 heads see if those are more in your budget range.
I choose that high of a lift because of the size carb. you have. If it was mine I would use the .480lift elgin it has a power band of 2200-5200.

ok i will take a look at those, with a slightly higher power band, will it take longer for the engine too get there if you pin it at an idle?
