Hi i just recently joined this forum and i have a question about traction. I have a 1972 El Camino with a modded 350, with a posi with 3.73's in the rear. Now I just recently put in Koni Drag shocks and they have helped my lauches greatly but i still get some loss of traction and tire hop. I have Air Shocks in the back and i want to keep the look or the rear end in the air so i was looking at anti hop bars and such and i cam across some edelbrock anti hop bars ( http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?part=EDL%2D5213&FROM=MG ) and i would like to know if they A) actually work and B) if they would be worth buying
Thanks =)

I cant comment on the Edelbrock parts, but I can tell you that air shocks and drag racing go together like cats and dogs. Dont ever expect a good launch while they are a part of your set-up.

I had a 65 Chevelle 3.73 positract w/air shocks that would pound my fillings out with wheel hop. I dumped the air shocks and used a fresh set of springs and a gabriel adjustable shock (don't make the same ones now) set on soft. Wheel hop went away and had two dark patches every time. IF you must have the rear in the air for tire size(?) then do it another way. If you can reduce the rake closer to level you will have much better weight transfer on launch.
