I have a 41 chevy truck that I don't know what rearend housing is under it other than it's a 10 bolt. Is there anyway to figure what it came out of? Thanks

I have a '39 Chevy 2 door sedan that had a 10 bolt at one time. The only one that would fit without modifications was a '67-'69 Camaro. The drum to drum width was about 60 inches. Not sure if the dimensions are the same for the '41 truck.

Google your question "identifing a Chevy 10 bolt rear" and you will get some info to help determine the ratio and if it's posi.  You may also find out how to identify it by the numbers.

Good luck.
