Hello ALL
Recently purchased a 2005 SSR with a LS2 6.0 engine My question is the motor has a strange tapping sound when started cold as soon as the engine heats up to 200 degrees the sound just stops motor runs very well and sounds great after the heat up..Could this be piston slap and if so is this an issur that needs to be addressed ????
ANY INPUT WOULD BE VERY HELPFULL

It's probably piston slap, due to the fact the noise goes away after the motor warms up.
