Do I need to drill all six of the steam holes in my RHS aluminum heads for my 406 or just the bottom three? I was looking at the Edelbrock web site and the installation directions for their sbc heads say to drill the bottom three only

You may want to get a hold of Edelbrock and get a reason to why they believe the extra holes are unnecessary.

If I were going to go through the trouble of doing it I would drill them all in hopes to maximize their effect.

For everyone's info the RHS heads have improved water jacket's so the steam holes are not necassary.
