Oil Pressure Sending Unit

I just built a 350.  I have an oil pressure gauge in the instrument cluster, but I want to add an idiot oil pressure light (long story .... let's not go there).  I know I can tee the the sending unit into the line that goes to the gauge, but I'm hoping I can use another location for the sending unit idiot light.  There is a threaded plug an inch or two just above the oil filter and if memory serves correctly I believe the sending unit can go there. Can anyone confirm that I can get oil pressure from that plugged hole?

Thanks.

Yes you can get oil pressure from that hole I have a sending unit installed in that port too. Also you may have one just above your timing chain cover under the intake on the block, either one of those will work for an oil pressure sending unit.

Thanks Demonoids777.  It's been years (about 30) since I rebuilt a chevy small block so although I was fairly certain I could get a pressure reading there, it's good to have it confirmed.

Thanks again.
