I recently bought an 83 elco with a 231 buick v6. my soon 2b father in law has donated a chevy 350 with a few aluminum upgrades for this car. he says there is a pair of headers on it as well. The donated motor resided in a 66' 1/2 ton truck. I am wondering what, if any mods are needed to help facilitate this swap. Keep in mind I would like to upgrade the cooling system with a bigger radiator, possibly a 4 core if it will fit. And I wonder if my fuel system needs upgrading to feed the edelbrock 850 that is currently on the motor. Thanks

THE MOTOR YOU DESCRIBED IS HAPPY BETWEEN 180 TO 220 DEGREES SO YOU SHOULD BE ALRIGHT WITH THE 2 CORE RADIATOR 4 CORES ARE BETTTER BUT IT DONT HURT TO SEE WHAT HAPPENS FIRST. SO FAR I DONT SEE ANY ISSUES WITH THE MOTOR: EDELBROCK CARBS ARE JUST OLD CARTER HOUSINGS WITH EDELBROCK INTERNALS AND STICKERS SO YOU SHOULD BE OK TILL YOU GET TO THE EXAUST SYSTEM.. YOU CAN 1.) MAKE A CROSSOVER PIPE, OR, JUST MAKE IT DUAL EXAUST. ALSO,CHANGE THE FRONT SWAY BAR TO AN INCH AND THREE EIGHTS AND YOULL BE ABLE TO TAKE CORNERS AT 60 WITHOUT THE CAR LEANING TOWARDS CHINA.I ONCE PUT A 350 IN A 78 SKYLARK THAT HAD A 6 IN IT AND THE ONLY PROBLEMS I HAD WAS WITH THE LINKAGE AND THE EXAUST BUT IVE DONE MAYBE 200 ENGINE SWAPS SINCE THEN ITS HARD TO REMEMBER EXACTLY WHAT CARS GIVE ME PROBLEMS YOU ARE ON THE RIGHT TRACK GOOD LUCK!!
