valve cover noise

okay here it is, i just changed my valve cover gaskets on a 350 chevy, engine was quiet as a mouse before i changed the gaskets now it is making a tapping noise ont he valve cover, is it possible after all these years i over tightened the valve cover and ruined the gasket? i used cork
?

think i maybe have figured it out,, i took off the valve cover and it runs good again quiet, so maybe ole brains here over tightened the new cork gasket, didnt think there was that little clearance under the valve cover,

Probably overtightened and a rocker was hitting the valve cover just a bit.
