guys I've got an 80 model camaro. I've put a 383 motor with edelbrock rpm heads in the car. I went with stock replacement rubber mounts. the motor is sitting fine in the car but I can't get my headman hedders to bolt up. The headers are hitting this Z-arm/frame connecter that bolts from the frame right behind the front tire to the engine cross member. There is a bolt half way along this connecter piece that attaches the lower A arm.  What importance is this piece. Can I remove it without jeopardizing the stability and/or safety off the car. Can anyone help me.   Thanks pwez
